A couple of years ago I ran a retreat at a beautiful and rustic (yet luxurious) place called Aqua Nicaragua.
What most people don’t know is that right now the Nicaraguan government is actually more stable than Costa Rica’s in many ways, and although it had a bad reputation years ago – that is truly a thing of the past now.
So let’s just talk about the food for a minute. YUM! Everything I ate was fresh and delicious and the menu caters to healthy organic yoga-minded types.
They do have yoga classes your group can partake of – or you can do your own yoga retreat there. You can also kayak, hike, explore the nearby town, spa out to your heart’s content, or just lie on the beach and do next to nothing.
The resort has a small white sandy beach but you do have to do a lot of walking up and down hill since the rooms are basically built into the tree tops!
Also the restaurant is down by the beach so you will be definitely doing a lot of walking up and down steps unless you specifically get a suite located down by the beach.
